Beginner Kinusaiga

Kinusaiga originated in Japan as a way to create beautiful artwork from fabric without sewing. Traditionally, small pieces of fabric are tucked into grooves cut into a design, creating the look of a quilted picture with no needle or thread required.

Often described as a blend of quilting, collage, and paint-by-number, Kinusaiga is a relaxing, creative hobby that allows you to slow down and enjoy the process. It's also a wonderful way to use treasured fabric scraps that are too pretty to throw away but too small for most quilting projects. In this beginner-friendly class, Savannah will guide you through the basic tools and techniques as you create your own finished piece and discover why so many makers find Kinusaiga both calming and rewarding.
